Custom e-commerce ticket website

The University of Birmingham Guild of Students had a fairly unique requirement - they wanted a mechanism that allowed all the University societies, sports teams, and halls of residences to sell tickets for their events on a single website, as well as selling tickets to their own events and for selected third parties.

The Guild Tickets website is a custom built e-commerce platform which fulfils this requirement.

Each seller can login and modify their seller page and add events onto the site - each event can have several different tickets available, each with it's own price, stock, and on/off sale dates. Sellers can also access a comprehensive sales report.

Behind the scenes, the site has a number of other features including:

• Moderation control to approve events added to the site
• User management
• Advert and content management system
• Centrally set settings such as postage rates and fees
• Financial reporting by seller or by transaction
• Integration with Tiger Contact and Bulk SMS for email and text marketing
